Proxy shares release details of his debut LP ‘MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES’ + Stream ‘Audio 15′ (Album preview)

« The Wait Is Nearly Over. The World Is Nearly Over. »

After years of anticipation, Proxy is poised to release his debut LP, MUSIC FROM THE EASTBLOCK JUNGLES, out internationally this fall on Turbo Recordings, and on Dim Mak in North America.

In the Russian port city of Vladivistok, near the country’s borders with China and North Korea, Proxy was born into a world of relative cultural isolation. No scene from which to emerge. No connections on which to draw. A lone Prodigy show amid hundreds of thousands in Red Square inspired him to crush the masses with synthesizers. A demo submitted to Tiga’s MySpace led to an arranged marriage with Turbo Recordings, a shining Western meritocracy.

Proxy was immediately accepted as a peer by the likes of Soulwax, Tiga, Mr. Oizo and Erol Alkan on the strength of astonishing, severe tracks like “Decoy”, “Dance in Dark” and the beyond-massive instant classic “Raven”. He has also been called upon to remix artists including Moby, The Prodigy, Peaches, ZZT, Digitalism, Boys Noize, and Azari & III. Their respect for his talent also bespeaks a certain degree of fear, much in the way prosperous nations will ally themselves with nuclear superpowers because they know it is in their most basic interest to do so.

Now, the undisputed master of the « Turn It Up to 11 » movement has created an album that harnesses the pure spirit of legit rave culture, with 15 tracks that span and elevate countless genres – notably inflected by classic bass and DnB -  without regard for trends or ephemeral influences. The album is the product of an artist who forged a sound in complete isolation, with visa problems leading him to entrench himself in the middle of nowhere in his native Russia, continuing in the UK rave tradition of his Essex-spawned idols, The Prodigy. From doomsday acid to ominous ambient to sample-based pop, the LP’s disparate pieces converge like massive tectonics recombining into a monolithic nation-statement, one worthy of one of the most talented producers of his generation.

Preview album highlight « AUDIO 15« , a forward-looking piece of post-apocalyptic acid techno that will shock the world into submission :
